Since January 2022, trainings on the national hotel star classification have been launched in the regions.
Azerbaijan Hotel Association (AHA) will provide detailed information on the process and criteria for classification of hotels in the various regions of the Azerbaijan Hotel Associations (AHA).
On January 19th, the first training took place in Lankaran. The next one will be held on January 26th in Guba. Series of trainings will continue in the other regions of Azerbaijan in February.

It should be noted that the new Law On Tourism was adopted at the 3rd plenary session of the Milli Majlis on December 27. According to the draft law, each hotel operating on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan should receive their star classification certificate within six months from the date of starting their operations.
